‘it was really nice to go out on a Sunday and have some lunch and some company’.
Over the course of the year at Linking Lives, we seek to encourage our ‘Link Friends’ to venture out into the social arena, our last event took place at Christmas time. Inviting Link Friends, Befrienders and our team to come together for a Buffet Lunch, Quiz and Christmas Cheer. We gathered together in a decorated Conservatory of the oldest building in Sutton and shared lunch, crackers, Christmas Tunes and quiz. Sutton Linking Lives were offered the use of Sutton Lodge for our event which is the oldest building in Sutton. The building has been many things over its history and now operates as a daycentre.
It was a delightful event organised by Leigh Stephens, our Linking Lives Co-ordinator. Enjoying beautifully presented yummy goodies, and a hilarious Quiz which our Link Friends knew nearly all the answers. Projects Director Mark Tomlinson, also came along and contributed fully in the Quiz.
Those who gathered enjoyed a good spread of food and shared at some cheeky cracker humour
How does Good King Wenceslas like his Pizza?
Deep Pan Crisp and Even. After good conversation Leigh had organised a themed quiz and our Link Friends were excellent at knowing the answers. After mince pies and coffee we went on our way, full of good Christmas Cheer.
